This course is a general introduction to the visual arts designed to create an appreciation of the vocabulary, media, techniques, and purposes of the creative process. Students will critically interpret and evaluate works of art within formal, cultural and historical contexts.
In this presentation, I used my phone to take pictures of ordinary items around my house that convey the elements of art.
One assignment we were told to do was to create a piece of art illustrating a problem that is present in the world today. This painting depicts a child being stuck on one side of the border wall while his parents are on the other. Sometimes children are separated from their parents due to the latter being illegal immigrants. So the child is left behind in the US while the mother and father travel back to Mexico.
